Rare Hyaenodon Skull on Matrix, Hyaenodon horridus, Fossil, Oligocene, K342

 Type: This is a very rare skull and partial skeleton in matrix from the Hyaenodon,
 
  Hyaenodon horridus
 
 , (large sized).  This specimen has over 32 teeth in the skull as well as portions of the spine and leg bones.  This specimen has been prepped naturally from how it was found in the matrix.  On the jaw I have restored four of the left teeth, as well as the tips of both of the canines.  On the upper the top half of each canine is restored.  There is no other restoration on the upper teeth.  On the upper skull the only restoration is the right cheek.  There is no restoration on any of the bones and they all are in their natural as prepped position.


 I have also made a custom heavy oak stand with cold rolled steel supports.  This specimen is heavy and as such needs this strong, well-made stand.  Included also is my own custom-made stainless-steel ID label.  The stand and label are included with the listing.  Due to its size and weight, please no international shipping.  Hyaenodon material, particularly horridus is very seldom to come across.  This piece has been in my collection for a number of years.  Will make an amazing centerpiece to the collection.
